It has been brought to our attention that accepting "event" invitations in Arbiter, like our chapter meetings, may show you to be unavailable for a game occurring at the same time. So, the advice of our Arbiter "super user" is Events are optional (except for the rules meeting). An official should not be blocked if they decline an event. However, if they accept, they will be shown as unavailable. The best thing for an official who wishes to avoid being unavailable is to neither accept nor decline the invitation to the event. The reason we put these in Arbiter was to ensure that everyone was informed of our meetings as thoroughly as possible.
